We’re officially open in Jindalee
After almost two years of looking after patients at our Springfield Central clinic, we’re thrilled to share that our second location in Jindalee is now open. You’ll find us at 168 Sinnamon Road, inside Home Co Jindalee, just a short drive from Mount Ommaney, Sumner, Middle Park and the broader western suburbs of Brisbane.
Opening a second clinic was always part of the long term plan, but we wanted to wait until we had the right team, the right space, and a genuine demand from the community we serve. Our patients and referrers in the western corridor told us they wanted local imaging close to home, with the same boutique experience we offer in Springfield. We listened, and now we’re here.
What sets our Jindalee clinic apart
Ultrasound Insight is independently owned. We’re not part of a large radiology chain, and that’s very intentional. Being independent means we can take the time to do things the way we believe care should be delivered, with longer appointment slots, a quiet welcoming space, and sonographers who genuinely know your history before you walk in.
Our Jindalee clinic has been purpose built for diagnostic imaging. The waiting area is calm, the rooms are private, and we’ve invested in current generation ultrasound equipment so our sonographers can produce clear, detailed images for your referring doctor. If you’ve ever felt like a number at a busy imaging centre, we hope you’ll feel the difference here.
Services available at our Jindalee location
We offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic ultrasound services for adults and children at our Jindalee clinic, including:
Early pregnancy and obstetric ultrasound, including dating scans and morphology scans
Female pelvic ultrasound, both external and transvaginal where indicated
Musculoskeletal ultrasound for soft tissue and joint assessments
Vascular ultrasound, including renal arteries, aorta and lower limb arteries
Renal and abdominal ultrasound
Paediatric ultrasound, with sonographers experienced in scanning children
If you’ve been referred for a scan that isn’t listed here, please give our team a call on (07) 3170 1352. We’ll let you know whether we can help at our Jindalee clinic or whether one of our sonographers at Springfield Central is better suited to your scan.
Why we chose Jindalee
The western suburbs of Brisbane have grown rapidly over the past decade, and access to local diagnostic imaging hasn’t always kept pace. Patients in this area often had to travel into the city or wait several weeks for a hospital appointment. We thought we could do better.
Home Co Jindalee was the right fit for us. There’s easy access from the Centenary Motorway, generous on site parking, and plenty of cafes and shops if you’re bringing the family along. Whether you’re local to Jindalee, Mount Ommaney, Westlake, Middle Park or further out, getting to us should be simple.
Booking your scan
To book a scan, you’ll need a referral from your GP, specialist or allied health practitioner. Most ultrasound referrals are open ended, which means you can choose where to have your scan done. Just let your doctor know you’d like to come to Ultrasound Insight in Jindalee.
Once you have your referral, you can phone us on (07) 3170 1352 or use the booking form on our website. Our reception team will guide you through any preparation required, such as drinking water before a pelvic scan or fasting before a vascular study, so you arrive feeling ready.
What to expect on the day
Your first visit usually takes around 30 to 60 minutes from arrival to leaving the clinic, depending on the type of scan. Please bring your referral, your Medicare card, and any previous imaging films or reports if you have them. We’ll check you in, walk you through the scan, and answer any questions you have along the way.
After the scan, your report and images are sent electronically to your referring doctor. Reports are usually available within one to two business days, and your doctor will discuss the findings with you at your follow up appointment.
